Complaint Filing and Resolution Mechanism in SMEDA

Any aggrieved person may make his/her complaint in SMEDA as follows:

  • A complaint written in English or Urdu may be lodged on the prescribed Wafaqi Mohtasib Complaint Form . Copies of the Complaint Form can also be obtained from the office of the Focal Person.
  • Aggrieved person can also file his/her complaint after dully completing and signing the prescribed Complaint Form by personal visit to the office of the Focal Person on any working day or through any other means of communication i.e. post, mail/email etc. at the following address:

  • Except complaint filed online, all other complaints will be accompanied by an affidavit to the effect that:
  • The allegations contained in the complaint are correct and true to the best of knowledge and belief of the complainant;
  • Previously no complaint on the subject was filed/pending in SMEDA or any other office;
  • No suit, appeal, petition or any other judicial proceedings in connection with the subject matter of the complaint is pending before any Court, Tribunal or Board.
  • Anonymous complaints will not be entertained.
  • All complaints will be registered and uploaded on the web system provided by the Federal Ombudsman Secretariat.
  • After registration of the complaint, it will be forwarded to the concerned section or CEO for necessary action for resolution of the complaint within 20 days from the registration of the complaint.
  • Focal Person and Complaint Officer through fortnightly meeting will review/up-date the complaints status and to prepare a report to send it to the Federal Ombudsman Secretariat.
  • Information regarding Focal Persons and complaint mechanism including filing of complaints will be uploaded on SMEDA website and displayed at prominent places of SMEDA Head Offices and Regional Offices
